Bobby Cargill’s talent and desire for music goes back to the tender age of only 4 years old. He picked up his older brother’s guitar and began to play with it. This seemingly innocent act of a child led to his first on stage performance, age 6, at the Lakeside Elementary School in Plainview Texas. Bobby’s musical abilities continued during his school years where he would play and sing for his classmates at various functions including FFA banquets and school dances. He could be seen sitting on the tailgate of his truck playing his guitar and singing at local gatherings and parties. While other kids were outside playing, Bobby would be spending time at home, guitar in hand rehearsing for his next performance. Perhaps the most cherished “performances” of all were the simple family gatherings where he would sit on the front porch with other family members singing and playing as a family. His life was always surrounded by music and still is to this day.

Bobby’s dream of recording his own music has come true with the release of his first CD, “Ordinary Man”. The twelve songs recorded on this CD are full of heartfelt songs which he has written, produced and sung himself. Now he can share his love and enthusiasm for music with a growing fan base all across the world with no end in sight! As of November 17, 2011, his song titled “So Much In Love” has broken the record for being the longest running #1 song on the easy listening charts and it is #36 on the top pop singles! His song, “Heaven’s Door” is #14 on the Country Gospel Inspiration Charts; and his song “Falling” is #13 on the independent music network country chart. So that means Bobby Cargill’s music is being charted on 5 different charts as of now! This positive, enthusiastic reaction from his fans about his music continues to inspire Bobby to write, sing and record even more of his own music.

Always reflecting back about how far he has come with his musical dream and acknowledging how important a role his family has played in his career keeps him grounded in the reality that he truly is just an “Ordinary Man” from a small West Texas town. Named after his mother, who was also a Bobbie, yet who passed on in 2010, he is still influenced by her fond memories and support for his music. Bobby’s father passed on due to cancer which has inspired him to give proceeds to The American Cancer Society and be a strong advocate for their mission. His father’s passing was the inspiration to the song “Heaven’s Door”. These touching moments in his life are what draw his heart and soul into the foundation of his music. This has enabled him to have many more songs just waiting to be recorded and released. Now, Bobby Cargill is preparing for “The Ordinary Man Band” 2012 World Tour. So be sure to look and listen in your hometown area for heartfelt and entertaining show of great music that comes along very few times in a lifetime.
